Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 5, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the SteadyLink VPN client and its related account and network connection services. The current service is free. It has no paid features, paid subscriptions, in-app purchases, or external purchase requirements. We do not collect payment information. We process only information needed to provide, maintain, and protect the service.

2. Information we process

• Account information: your email and login credentials, processed for registration, sign-in, password changes or recovery, account security, account closure, and support. • Device and service information: a device-bound identifier, operating system and app version, language, free-service eligibility, account access status, and connection status. This supports device limits, service delivery, and abuse prevention. • Security and operational records: login IP addresses, user-agent information and login times; source IP addresses associated with an account, service node and observed connection time; and aggregate upload and download byte totals associated with accounts and nodes. These records support authentication, device limits, abuse prevention, service operation, and capacity management. • Support information: tickets, feedback, and contact details that you choose to submit. • Necessary technical information: request, error, and runtime information needed to authorize, establish, secure, and troubleshoot a connection. The live speed counters displayed in the app are calculated locally. This is separate from the aggregate usage totals retained on our servers. On iOS, before account or node services send this account, device, and service information to our servers, the app shows a data notice and asks for your consent. If you decline, account and node services will not start on iOS.

3. VPN content and operational records

Our account and service backend does not store VPN packet contents, destination IP addresses, visited domains, DNS queries, or browsing history. Network packets are processed as needed to provide the connection. This does not mean that no records exist: the account security records, source IP addresses, node activity times, and aggregate usage totals described above are retained. The app does not intentionally read or store webpage text, chats, files, or passwords accessed through the VPN. Websites and other network services may process information under their own policies.

4. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, manage free-service access and device limits, assign nodes, provide and maintain connections, show service status, respond to support requests that you submit, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and meet legal obligations. We do not target advertising or sell personal information based on proxy content.

5. iOS VPN

Only after you explicitly start a connection and accept the system VPN permission does iOS establish a system VPN connection according to your choice. Starting a connection does not give us access to your app content. You can stop it in the app or in iOS VPN Settings.

6. Sharing and processors

Necessary information is sent over encrypted connections to SteadyLink VPN’s service in Tokyo, Japan. Hosting and network infrastructure providers may process service information as part of operating that infrastructure. The current app has no advertising or third-party analytics services. We do not sell personal information or provide it to advertisers or data brokers. Information may be disclosed where required by law or necessary to address security incidents or abuse.

7. Storage, security, and retention

Local settings, cached account information, and live speed counters are stored on your device. Account, session, security, node activity, and aggregate usage records are stored on our service in Tokyo, Japan. We use access controls and encryption in transit. Server-side records are retained for account and service operation and security; signing out, clearing local app data, or uninstalling does not by itself erase them. Contact support to request information about retention or deletion.

8. Your choices and rights

You can change language, stop the VPN, sign out, or submit a permanent account-deletion request from Account management in the app. Successful account closure ends account access and invalidates its sessions. Security and aggregate usage records may remain in server systems. You may use the official website or support entry in the app to request access to, correction of, or deletion of account information, ask about retained records, or withdraw consent where applicable. We may verify account ownership to prevent impersonation.

9. Children

SteadyLink VPN is not directed to children. If your local law requires guardian consent, obtain it before using the service. If we learn that children’s information was collected without required consent, we will process deletion requests as required by law.

10. Updates and contact

We may update this policy when features, law, or security practices change and will show a new effective date in the app. Submit privacy requests through the official website or support entry in the app.
